Orbit Analyst Position at SpaceNav

SpaceNav is seeking a skilled Orbit Analyst to support the operation of the NOAA TraCSS system. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the system's functional components, analyzing SSA data products, and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of mission-critical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the TraCSS system, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability.
  • Respond to operational and technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and job aids, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with DoD personnel, satellite operators, and other stakeholders to support the SSA mission.
  • Work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
Requirements:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret security clearance is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in SSA and flight dynamics is necessary.
  • Prior experience in satellite operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing technologies is an asset.
