Orbit Analyst

SpaceNav is seeking a talented Orbit Analyst (OA) to join our team. The engineering work is full-time and will be performed on-site at the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF) located in Suitland, MD. Shift work will be required.
As an Orbit Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring the various the functional components of the NOAA TraCSS operational system. You will analyze various SSA data products, graphs, and data quality QA metrics to ensure uninterrupted delivery of mission critical SSA safety of flight services. A strong background in mathematics and engineering is required. This position requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated and at times work with little supervision. The ability to interact with other professionals in various sectors is critical.
Responsibilities
· Operate the various components of the TraCSS system.
· Respond to various operational and technical issues.
· Create and maintain operational procedures and job aides.
· Coordinate with DoD personnel, satellite operators, and other mission stakeholders in support of the SSA mission.
· Willing to work rotating shifts.
Qualifications
· US Citizenship required.
· Active Secret security clearance
· Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field
· 2+ years of relevant work experience in SSA and flight dynamics
· Prior experience performing satellite operations.
· Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
