Perinatal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Perinatal Care Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. In this crucial role, you will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive childbirth experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of pregnant patients, including comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and fetal monitoring.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans for patients in labor, collaborating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage labor progression and assist with delivery, including performing procedures as needed (e.g., episiotomies, suturing).
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor, identifying and responding to complications promptly.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and improve clinical practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
Compensation Package:
The estimated salary range for this position is $120-$150 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer flexible scheduling options, which can help increase overall compensation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of California
- 1 to 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
