Benchmark Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in the implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Implement behavior support plans developed by supervisors, ensuring the highest level of care and support for individuals served.
- Collect data and conduct assessments to monitor progress and effectiveness of behavior support plans.
- Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and provide family and caregiver training on behavior support plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual care plans.
- Ensure the implementation, completion, and training of families on data sheets and behavior support plans.
- Provide positive behavioral supports according to behavior support plans and respond to emergency situations as trained.
- Complete documentation as required by Benchmark Human Services, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide regular written and verbal updates on behavior support plan goals to supervisors.
- Monitor the general well-being of individuals served by implementing standardized behavior protocols and health care protocols.
- Assist with personal care as required, ensuring health, safety, and respect for each individual served.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at time of application.
- Complete a 40-hour training program based on the RBT Task List.
- Pass the RBT Competency Assessment administered by a BACB certificant.
- Successfully complete continuing education as necessary to maintain RBT certification.
- Pay any fees to maintain RBT certification.
- Have reliable transportation.
