Job SummaryWe are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with children from birth to 3 years old in various developmental domains. The successful candidate will address functional needs, particularly related to adaptive development, behavior, and play, and sensory, motor, and postural development.
Responsibilities- Prevent or minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability.
- Adapt the environment to meet child/family needs in play, self-help, and behavior development.
- Evaluate and implement a therapy program of purposeful activities that are rehabilitative, active, or restorative.
- Train and support family members in the implementation of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and environmental consultation.
- Complete necessary documentation to facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources.
- Promote activities in the natural environment to enhance implementation of the IFSP.
- Comply with First Steps Provider Agreement regarding continuing education and other standards.
- Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately to the supervisor or department head.
- Ensure the health and safety of all individuals.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Certified by the Medical Licensing Board.
- Meets criteria for First Steps Provider Enrollment.
