Job Overview

BTI is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with Active Top Secret Clearance to support the Department of Energy in Washington, DC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and upgrade network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
  • Configure and troubleshoot MPLS Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNS, IP, IPV6, OSPF, BGP, RIPV1, RIPV2, IS-IS, EIGRP, OSPFv3, RIPng, EIGRPv6, and static routes
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for continuous security improvement of the network
  • Utilize COMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools such as GEM-X and GEMONE
  • Create IPSEC tunnels utilizing Type-1 Crypto-graphic equipment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years networking experience
  • Experience managing and monitoring Cisco and Juniper platforms
  • Experience automating monitoring and reporting
  • Experience troubleshooting complex layer 2 and layer 3 issues
  • Project Management tracking tools such as JIRA
  • COMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools such as GEM-X and GEMONE
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI
Compensation

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
