Job Overview
BTI seeks a skilled Network Engineer to support the Department of Energy in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will work on IT services migration to IC information sharing, secure cloud-based operational environments, and technical expertise for detecting and mitigating threats.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and upgrade network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
  • Upgrade and replace EOL routers and switches.
  • Comply with configuration management, change management, and policy documentation requirements.
  • Provide input on network redesign and implement MPLS Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNS.
  • Analyze and recommend continuous security improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years of networking experience.
  • Experience managing and monitoring Cisco and Juniper platforms.
  • Experience automating monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex layer 2 and layer 3 issues.
  • Project Management tracking tools like JIRA.
  • COMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools like GEM-X and GEMONE.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI.
