Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.
Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, providing accurate and timely results.
- Collaborate with parents and healthcare professionals to educate them on the importance of hearing screens and provide support as needed.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff members.
- Perform duties in accordance with hospital, company, and program policies, including infection control, safety awareness, and patient privacy.
- Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, with flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.
- Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and standing and walking frequently.
