We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Arlington. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
