Position Overview

Position Title: Flight Training Specialist

Position Status: Limited Part-Time

Position Summary:

The FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) is accountable to the Chief of Pilot Training for conducting flight training sessions and Ground School as designated, adhering to FAA sanctioned syllabi.

Additionally, the CFI is tasked with delivering various services as directed by the Chief of Pilot Training to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the flight education program.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized flight instruction in accordance with the FAA approved flight curriculum, including Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI-A, CFI-I, Multiengine, and CFI-ME.
  • Conduct aviation ground school sessions.
  • Develop and update course syllabi as necessary.
  • Serve as the Instructor on Duty when required.
  • Participate in CFI/Ground Instructor meetings.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Pilot Training or their designated representative.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Must possess manual dexterity and the ability to critically assess flight student performance and provide constructive feedback. Self-motivated individuals who can manage responsibilities during evenings and weekends are preferred.


Certificates and Ratings Required:

Commercial Pilot Airplane Single Land, Instrument Airplane/Certified Flight Instructor - Airplane.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument/Certified Flight Instructor - Multi-engine.


Work Hours: Part-time
