We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer to join our Accessories New Product Development Team at Milwaukee Tool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative accessories that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design engineer and technical resource within cross-functional project teams
- Develop and implement design solutions for new products and processes
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, quality, product management, operations, and supply chain teams
- Establish test regimens for products and submit test requests to internal laboratory
- Provide clear engineering information to project leaders, global engineering teams, and engineering management
- Prepare and present large mechanical engineering milestone reviews
- Perform analyses and gather data to drive trade-off decisions
- Help qualify new suppliers and interact with existing suppliers, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Provide support for engineering changes and plan and prioritize technical project tasks
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Previous entry-level engineering, internship, or co-op experience preferred
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of design, engineering materials, mechanical properties, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
