Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting our healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
    • Greet and check in patients arriving at the clinic. Prepare patients to be seen by providers.
    • Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
    • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
    • Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by the provider.
    • Run P.O.C. tests as requested by the provider and collect and prepare lab specimens.
    • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Education and Experience
    • HS Diploma or GED and Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program, Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
    • Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
