Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Social Worker at Amedisys, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients and their families with health-related financial, social, and emotional concerns
• Providing social work services in accordance with the plan of care
• Ensuring timely communication of changes in patient status to other healthcare team members and care center office staff
• Educating patients and their families on medical social work interventions and treatment plans
• Performing care planning, transfer, and discharge functions
• Identifying risks or threats to patient health and implementing appropriate interventions to reduce risks

We offer a competitive salary range of $50-$60 per hour, depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits include a full benefits package with choice of affordable PPO or HSA medical plans, paid time off, and up to $1,300 in free healthcare services paid by Amedisys yearly when enrolled in an Amedisys HSA medical plan. Other benefits include up to $500 in wellness rewards for completing activities during the year, mental health support, 401(k) with a company match, and family support with infertility treatment coverage and adoption reimbursement.
