We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Screw Machine Support Technician to join our team at Staffworks. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our screw machines and supporting our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Issue and de-issue bar stock to the Screw Machine department as needed.
- Unload raw material and deliver to machines or raw material storage as required.
- Cut and dispose of scrap material using an electric pallet jack.
- Recycle cleaning solution and maintain all recycling and cleaning equipment.
- Collect parts from each department and transport to the wash area.
- Load parts in racks, then load into the machine and cycle automatically.
- Unload washed parts onto a conveyor, counting and weighing using a Smart Scale.
- Log all tickets for part numbers, piece counts, dates, shift, and machines.
- Perform additional department maintenance duties, including mopping up spills and areas inaccessible by floor scrubbers, cleaning the pit area and access ramp, cleaning under bar loaders once per shift, and emptying all trash containers and replacing trashcan liners.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks in a timely and complete order.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- General computer skills.
