Heavy Equipment Technician
Coastal Ecology Group, Llc is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting machine guidance systems on various earth-moving and paving equipment. You will also troubleshoot electrical, software, and hardware faults within a machine system on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot machine guidance systems on a variety of earth-moving and paving equipment, both in the field and at customer facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, software, and hardware faults within a machine system on job sites.
- Perform electrical repairs, including the installation of system wiring harnesses and related sensors, configuring machine guidance software, and performing software-related tasks.
- Install GPS components and wiring on a variety of heavy equipment.
- Modify and install hydraulic valves and hoses.
- Use Trimble survey gear to precisely measure and calibrate machines.
- Operate heavy equipment for troubleshooting and calibration.
- Order parts and complete service reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service including demonstration of installed systems.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to operate company vehicle.
- Experience with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heavy equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical system installation, diagnostics, and repair.
- Experience with CAT, John Deere, Volvo, Bobcat, Doosan, or similar machinery.
- Experience with Trimble products is desirable but not required.
