Artisan Baker

We are seeking a highly skilled Artisan Bread Maker to join our team at Katella Deli. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating a variety of artisan breads and other baked goods, managing day-to-day bakery operations, and ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

• Bread Production: Create and produce a range of artisan breads and other baked goods, including mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products.
• Operations Management: Manage day-to-day bakery operations, including reviewing production schedules, assembling supplies and equipment, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Quality Control: Detect and address any issues with spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and other unusual conditions.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to subordinates, and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Generate fresh and innovative ideas to improve bakery operations and products.

• Experience: Minimum of two to five years of related experience in a bakery or foodservice environment.
• Certifications: California Food Handlers Card is required for all foodservice employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
• Availability: Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with coworkers, and a passion for working in a bakery environment.
