Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Department Manager to oversee the housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a single site. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams to complete light housekeeper, heavy housekeeper, and laundry aide duties on varying shifts. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing
- Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of project and program work
- Maintain income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment records
- Communicate effectively with building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff
- Utilize protective gear and follow safety precautions
- Assist in implementing training, quality control procedures, and in-servicing of housekeeping staff
We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and two years of experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision is desired. Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
