Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care services to patients in a hospital setting, including set-up, maintenance, and monitoring of mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with critically ill patients and demonstrated proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver aerosolized medications via nebulizer or other delivery methods.
  • Perform broncho provocation and pulmonary exercise testing as ordered by physicians.
  • Document all patient therapies, including concerns during shift, in electronic medical records system.

Essential Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • License from the State of Connecticut to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Working Conditions:
The Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines and provide quality patient care.
