Respiratory Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As a critical member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles and practices, with experience working with diverse patient populations. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and equipment, including mechanical ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and blood gas analyzers. You will also have the chance to participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in respiratory care.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective respiratory care to patients in various settings, including intensive care units, operating rooms, and outpatient clinics.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care that address their specific respiratory concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document all interventions in patient records.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including mechanical ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and blood gas analyzers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required; graduate degree preferred.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital or clinical setting; acute care experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies; may require standing for extended periods.
- Competitive salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
