Pipe Layer

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our team at C.A. Murren and Sons. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for preparing and laying pipe for storm drains, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and other types of pipelines.

• Excavate trenches and prepare them for pipeline installation
• Grade and level trench foundations to ensure proper alignment and slope
• Align and position pipes using levels or lasers to ensure they conform to specifications
• Bed and backfill trenches properly to prevent pipe damage
• Install pipes that are on grade and airtight as required
• Monitor progress and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently

• 2+ years of experience as a Pipe Layer in heavy civil construction
• Advanced knowledge of equipment, including lasers, transits, grade rods, and line levels
• Vast knowledge of differing types of soils and shoring techniques
• Ability to read grade rods and understand tenths
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
