About the Role
This role is focused on overseeing the 3rd shift operations, ensuring effective scheduling of personnel, and maintaining production timelines within a cGMP framework. The individual in this position will provide guidance and training to team members regarding cGMP documentation, equipment operation, setup, cleaning, and maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Operations Supervisor will support the 3rd shift production team by enhancing subordinate job skills, managing cGMP documentation, and ensuring proper equipment usage and maintenance. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing supervisory skills to train, coach, and communicate effectively with employees to meet company goals.
- Maintaining production schedules, including the management of raw materials, workforce, and equipment.
- Reviewing all relevant documentation such as Manufacturing/Packaging records, SOPs, and training logs.
- Ensuring safety compliance for all personnel within the operational areas.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for safety improvements.
- Supervising production areas and collaborating with management to plan, schedule, and prioritize process enhancements.
- Analyzing job functions and collaborating with management to improve policies and procedures.
- Participating in cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical technology, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic work environment are essential.
- Availability to work the 3rd shift is necessary.
