Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.
Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, providing accurate and timely results.
- Collaborate with parents and healthcare professionals to educate them on the importance of hearing screening and provide support as needed.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with infants and in a hospital setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry, with a focus on prioritizing daily tasks and assignments.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with a focus on standing and walking frequently (95% of shift).
