Position OverviewLegend Biotech is seeking a Lead Immunology Scientist to be an integral part of our exploratory technology division, contributing to the advancement of innovative technologies and platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background and extensive research experience in immunology, molecular biology, and cell therapy, with a particular focus on in vivo CAR-T experience.
A comprehensive understanding of T/NK cell therapy, virus packaging, and immune cell function assays is essential. Experience with lentivirus gene therapy and in vivo CAR-T methodologies is highly desirable.The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing an in vivo cell therapy platform through lentivirus vector design and conducting ex vivo and in vitro functional assays.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.The candidate must demonstrate the ability to deliver scientific outcomes with integrity, adhere to timelines, and exemplify the value of collaboration and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine cell therapy gene editing platforms and optimize cell-based immunoassays, including virus packaging, immune cell isolation and expansion, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and cytotoxicity assays.
- Independently design and execute experiments, meticulously document and interpret scientific findings, and present data to colleagues.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and exhibit a keen awareness of emerging technologies and platforms in the field.
- Deliver results within established timelines while fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Engage in laboratory support activities as needed.
- PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a Master's degree with substantial experience.
A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in human immunology, virology, or lentivector gene therapy is preferred, with in vivo CAR-T experience being a plus.
- Expertise in molecular biology, vector design, gene editing, and CAR-T methodologies.
