Molecular Pathologist Opportunity for Academic Excellence

Molecular pathologists play a crucial part in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment selection of various diseases, including cancers and genetic disorders. This position involves analyzing and interpreting genetic and molecular alterations in patient samples to aid in medical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform/oversee molecular laboratory testing, including DNA sequencing, PCR, and FISH.
- Analyze/interpret molecular test results to identify genetic mutations, gene expressions, or other molecular alterations associated with diseases.
- Evaluate the clinical significance and relevance of molecular findings in the context of patient's medical history and available literature.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years experience required.
- Board certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or Molecular Genetic Pathology.
- Completion of a fellowship or additional training in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
