Job Title: Behavior Interventionist

Join our team at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis as a Behavior Interventionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered treatment to children and their families.

About the Role

As a Behavior Interventionist, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one intensive intervention to children with developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, focusing on skill development and positive behavior change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide one-to-one support in the home and community
  • Monitor and record client progress
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • Valid CA Driver's License and auto insurance
  • Prior experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred)
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of situations and remain calm under stress

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms; push and pull, and talk, hear and smell.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee in this position may encounter prolonged sitting and/or standing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

Requirements and Qualifications

Must pass LIVESCAN (DOJ/FBI), provide DMV printout, Valid Driver's license proof of insurance, and current TB clearance. First aid and CPR training COVID-19
