Job Summary:
We are seeking a Security Officer to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of any suspicious activity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

1. Patrolling lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, and other areas, conferring with management, and interviewing guests and employees.
2. Conducting incident interviews as needed, investigating complaints, thefts, vandalisms, accidents, illness, violations of policies, and any other loss-related event.
3. Monitoring security cameras and fire panels as needed.
4. Warning or ejecting troublemakers and cautioning careless persons.
5. Responding to, controlling, providing, and obtaining assistance for victims of accidents and/or illness as needed.
6. Assisting management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations.
7. Controlling all situations in a calm, professional, and hospitable manner.
8. Completing daily logs and incident reports.
9. Following lost and found procedures.
10. Conducting daily key inventories and reporting variances.
11. Managing distribution of keys and sign-out sheets for employees and vendors.
12. Responding to alarm notifications.
13. Assisting with emergency/evacuation training and processes.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess a valid NYS Security Guard license. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The candidate must be available to work morning, evening, or overnight shifts, as well as weekends and holidays when needed. Education and/or experience: High School Diploma or GED, one year of security experience, and/or three years of military experience preferred. Language skills: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow employees. Reasoning ability: Must be able to use appropriate judgment in determining situations requiring immediate/emergency response and action.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $19.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
