About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum in St. Paul, MN. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates effectively with strong professional verbal and written communication skills

Requirements
  • Active and Unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Minnesota
  • 6+ months of pharmacy technician experience
  • Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
