We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Perioperative Nursing Professional to join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a skilled and experienced nursing professional to provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Operating Room setting, preferably with CVOR experience, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care, assess patient needs, and develop a plan of care consistent with their condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care consistent with their condition
  • Coordinate care with other departments to ensure services are provided in a timely manner

In this position, you will also be responsible for documenting and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing actions, communicating with other members of the healthcare team regarding patient condition, and ensuring the safety of patients by accurate labeling and handling of specimens.

Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per yearEducation Requirements:

A BSN degree is preferred, and completion of BSN is expected within 5 years of hire.
