About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Staff Engineer III to join our team at Verdantas. As a key player in our growing workload in manufacturing and industrial facilities, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet our client's needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform site visits to document existing conditions and understand client requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports
- Research and analyze customer design parameters, specifications, and data to evaluate the feasibility and maintenance requirements of designs and applications
- Perform and document mechanical design tasks for large HVAC, plumbing, and process mechanical projects
- Utilize 3D modeling software to aid in development of design and construction drawings
- Develop engineering drawings, sketches, Process Flow Diagrams, Process and instrumentation diagrams, and Control Diagrams in electronic or hand format
- Provide construction administration services, which may include review of shop drawings, attending meetings, field inspection, system startup, and de-bugging
- Analyze mechanical systems and perform functional component criticality assessments
- Coordinate with a multi-discipline team, technical leaders, and project manager to incorporate information and client standards into the construction documents
- Support the Engineer of Record in the system component selection and design process

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering, or other related technical discipline
- 4 to 7 years of industry experience
- Practical knowledge of fans, pumps, piping, valves, HVAC, and controls devices and systems
- Working knowledge of load calculation and energy modeling software
- Experience with Navisworks, Point Cloud, or 3D Scans
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
- Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
