Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Processing Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for controlling equipment and systems to pre-treat hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample testing and lab work to ensure chemical treatment meets discharge limitations
  • Operate chemical process equipment, filter presses, and filtration systems to ensure efficient and safe processing
  • Conduct daily inspections of facility and storage tanks to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Process inbound and outbound paperwork, including customer manifests, to ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Manage solids and chemical-treated fluids in storage facilities to ensure safe and efficient storage
  • Perform general housekeeping, including cleaning tankers and maintaining equipment and site
Requirements
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Training or ability to pass course upon hire
  • Knowledge of heating/cooling, heat transfer/evaporation processes
  • Ability to use light equipment, such as forklift and pallet-jack
  • Skilled in using hand and shop tools, and instruments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
