Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team at Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cardiovascular and general medical care to patients admitted to the Cardiology Services under the supervision of a physician.
  • Work on a 7 X 24 basis to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with staff physicians, nursing and allied health professionals, and patients.
  • Act as a liaison between medical and other staff to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Perform routine technical skills, including suturing, phlebotomy, and arterial puncture for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Tailor diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to age-specific standards for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved primary care physician assistant education program.
  • Maintain certification as a Certified Physician Assistant.
  • Registration with the Maine State Board of Registration in Medicine.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
