Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to our PACS system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any issues to our maintenance team.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: ARRT (Mammography) or ARDMS (Medical Sonography).
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
