Cybersecurity Expert for Enterprise Systems

H2 Performance Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to support our Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience working with Cisco networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and organizational standards.
- Risk Management Framework Oversight: Ensure compliance with federal and organizational standards through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Security Assessments and Vulnerability Scans: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and STIG reviews to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Endpoint Security Solutions Management: Oversee endpoint security solutions, including patch management, to ensure systems are up-to-date and protected.
- IT and Cybersecurity Collaboration: Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Security Incident Monitoring and Response: Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing detailed analysis and reporting.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and compliance activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Ensure continuous improvement of cybersecurity practices and tools.
- DoD Security Requirements Implementation: Implement DoD security requirements, including software patches/updates, BIOS and firmware updates, Computer Tasking Orders (CTO), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data at Rest (DAR) and encryption.
- Security Solution Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate and recommend security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information.
- Confidentiality Maintenance: Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, and accessed on the network.
- Host Connections Establishment and Maintenance: Establish, maintain, and document host connections to the H2 Performance Consulting network.
- Network Access Problem Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network access problems and implement network security policies and procedures.
- Network Security Access Ensurance: Ensure network security access and protect against unauthorized access, modification or destruction of network components and stored data.
- ISSO Duties Performance: Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties, including vulnerability mitigation, patch management, and compliance reporting using enterprise cybersecurity tools.
Requirements:
- Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or managerial related discipline or High School Diploma or GED. Individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable.
- Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP): At least one of the following certifications is required.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP): At least one of the following certifications is required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
- Experience:
- Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E) or Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/Certification & Accreditation (C&A) related field: Five years with Bachelor's degree or seven years with HS/GED of practical experience demonstrating competency in the specified field.
- Cisco Networks Knowledge: Working knowledge of Cisco networks, including experience with security policies and guidance documents.
- RMF Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and experience with security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information.
- Security Policy and Compliance Knowledge: Experience assisting or developing system security policy and ensuring compliance of change management and configuration control processes.
