Job Summary

Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Armed School Safety Officer to ensure the safety and security of our staff, scholars, and stakeholders within the school premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols on the campus to monitor activity and deter potential threats.
  • Manage and direct traffic flow to ensure the smooth operation of vehicular movement on school grounds.
  • Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized individuals are admitted while maintaining a welcoming and courteous demeanor towards parents and partners of the school.
  • Develop and implement evacuation plans in coordination with school safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance school safety practices and identify areas for improvement in security measures.
  • Maintain regular communication by disseminating weekly updates and safety information to the Head of School, Operations Director, and other relevant members of the administration.
  • Act as a point of contact for any safety-related concerns and emergencies, responding promptly and effectively to ensure the well-being of all individuals on campus.
Requirements
  • A Christian reference from a pastor, community, or spiritual leader.
  • Possession of a valid armed security officer license.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols.
