Medical Assistant Specialist

Job Description
As a Clinical Coordinator at Vidant Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless clinic operations and exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include coordinating schedules, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient use of provider time.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both in paper and electronic formats.
- Assist providers with patient care services, including vital signs, patient questionnaires, and data entry.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical duties, including vitals, health history, and other tasks as directed by clinicians.
Requirements and Qualifications
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One of the following certifications required:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
