Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply necessary thread lubricants or storage compounds to threads as needed.
  • Utilize appropriate thread protectors on finished threads to avoid damage.
  • Operate cut-off saws to trim pipe ends or remove defective threads as instructed.
  • Handle swaging equipment under supervision.
  • Manually drift pipes as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the shop environment.
  • Conduct abrasive blasting on threaded ends when necessary.
  • Support machine operators with heavy tooling during machine setups.
  • Assist in phosphate coating and product preparation alongside Shop Helper II.
  • Exhibit a quality-focused mindset with experience in FVI.
  • Adhere to all work instructions, specifications, and requirements.
  • Comply with all company rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Follow all safety regulations established by the company.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman or Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a production operator role.
  • Capability to operate a forklift.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
