About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Early Career Hydrotechnical or Water Resource Engineer to join our team in Wexford, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for modeling and assessments in our office, working on projects such as linear alignments for pipelines, transportation corridors, and infrastructure siting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using spreadsheet-based tools, and/or software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS programs, or other 2D hydrodynamic modeling tools.
  • Assess open-channel and floodplain erosion and scour processes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assess geomorphic and sediment transport processes.
  • Complete basin or site-scale water balance and water supply assessments.
  • Design storm drain, culverts, open channels, and diversions.
  • Collect and interpret field data, including from riverine and GIS data.
  • Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements.
  • Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebook.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering with a focus on hydrology.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience.
  • Computer skills and coursework or experience with computer software including Microsoft Office and basic data management applications.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
