Position Overview

Compensation: $24.16 per hour
*Compensation is based on relevant experience, credentials, education, and the use of a second language in your responsibilities (50% of the time).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the needs of children and families for community resources.
  • Provide tailored community resources based on identified needs.
  • Travel regularly to clients' homes, educational institutions, and community locations.
  • Deliver rehabilitation interventions in various settings as determined by collaborative team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided through daily progress notes using technology.
  • Advocate for clients and their families to secure necessary treatment and resources.
  • Support parents who may be hesitant to engage in treatment.
  • Provide interpretation services in Spanish for therapists or psychiatrists as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Behavioral Sciences or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • 1-3 years of experience with learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and emotional disorders.
  • Proficient in modern office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Zoom.
  • Willingness to pursue further professional development and training.
  • Valid auto insurance for work-related travel.
  • Current California Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Current TB Test (within the last 6 months).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with juvenile systems in Los Angeles County, including mental health and behavioral health services.
  • Experience as a parent or foster parent involved in these programs is highly regarded.

Work Environment: This role involves traveling to various community locations, including schools, client homes, and clinics, as well as attending training and meetings throughout the region.
