We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our Stadiums and Arenas Business Unit across North America. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategy to drive business growth, improve client satisfaction, and protect AXS business interests.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Business Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the Stadiums and Arenas Business Unit, including revenue growth, cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Lead and Manage Senior Staff: Oversee multiple disciplines, including Account Management, Client Services, Ticketing Strategy, and Sales, to ensure proper staffing, employee growth and development, and effective inter-departmental processes.
- Manage Budgets and Financials: Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor and approve revenues and expenditures, and ensure alignment with Sales to sign and renew client on profitable deal structures.
- Network and Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with agents, artist management, promoters, venue managers, and other potential clients to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
- Represent AXS: Represent AXS as an industry expert at conferences and industry meetings, and advise Stadium & Arenas leadership on client quarterly business review execution.
- Education and Experience: BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in the planning, execution, and management of live events within stadiums and arenas.
- Leadership and Management: 6+ years of experience developing and managing senior staff, ensuring proper staffing of departments, overseeing the hiring process, and facilitating employee growth and development.
- Financial Management: 6+ years of experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets related to stadium and arena operations, including revenue generation, cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Ticketing and Revenue Optimization: Experience overseeing ticketing operations, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization for events within stadiums and arenas.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Experience negotiating contracts and agreements to enhance operational efficiency and revenue generation.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the live event industry, including industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies.
