The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, and health promotion, and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and admit patients, perform rounding checks, administer medications, and communicate with family members.
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
