Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of our upscale campgrounds. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences and driving revenue growth.

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

The Operations Director will lead and manage all aspects of property operations, including staffing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, who can drive results-oriented initiatives and champion excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Staff Management: Provide outstanding leadership to drive team motivation and performance. Recruit, interview, and develop staff to meet business objectives.
  2. Operational Efficiency: Ensure effective use of resources, minimize waste, and maximize profitability. Monitor attendance patterns, adjust staffing levels as needed, and implement best practices for labor cost control.
  3. Financial Management: Lead and manage financial results, reporting, and budgeting processes. Analyze variances, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide corrective measures.
  4. Guest Experience: Train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Resolve guest concerns, complaints, and seek opportunities for engagement.
  5. Capital Expenditures: Lead and direct capital projects to maintain resort aesthetics and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of tourism or hospitality leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years of RV campground experience required.
  • Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and P&L experience required.
  • Event planning and execution a plus.
  • Effective use of computer software, sales tracking software, CRM tools, and social media.
  • Prior experience managing payroll and employee life cycle utilizing an automated system.
  • Able to adapt quickly and lead others through change.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Self-starter and independent worker while collaborating in a team environment.

Working Conditions

This role requires regular travel (30-50%) within the region. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms are also necessary. Occasional lifting of office products and supplies up to 20 pounds may be required.
