Probation Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Probation Officer to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to clients and their families.

• Conduct thorough investigations and assessments to determine client needs and risk to the community
• Develop and implement effective case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court orders
• Provide regular face-to-face appointments and interviews with clients, as well as ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs and risk to the community
• Collaborate with other judicial districts and states on victim-related concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
• Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including offices and jails. The work environment is often disagreeable, with frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
