Job Title: Survey Party Chief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team at Aztec Engineering Group. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for leading survey crews in day-to-day operations and reporting back to the Coordinator on daily activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform surveys of all types, including precise control networks, topographic mapping, aerial targeting, boundary retracement, ALTA Surveys, and construction staking.
  • Lead survey crews in day-to-day operations and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Report back to the Coordinator on daily activities and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines as needed to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standard.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of survey experience.
  • Ability to perform survey calculations in the field.
  • Knowledge of surveying procedures and plan interpretation.
  • Familiarity with GPS and total station, data collection technology.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to carry a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work out-of-town (on occasion assume 5-10% travel, mostly in-state).

Working Conditions and Environment:

As a Survey Party Chief at Aztec Engineering Group, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will need to be able to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project and promote a positive team environment. You will also need to be able to work in extreme weather conditions and be able to carry a minimum of 20 pounds.
