Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Del Monte Foods Company. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for the overall management and safeguarding of our finished goods inventory, ensuring accurate and timely inventory management across our plant and distribution center operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including managing supply chain activities at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive root cause analysis with operation partners, directing corrective action to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Drive accountability of inventory processes and procedures, developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for governance, maintenance, and audits.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop an inventory control team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory: Direct cycle count programs, physical inventory, and guide improvements to these programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Supply Chain Leadership team, Inventory Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless inventory management and resolution of balancing inventory general ledger accounts.
  • Customer Returns and Audit: Monitor customer returns, proactively identifying issues to reduce costs and errors, and audit all credit and debit memos associated with these returns for accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Accounting, Business, or related area.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience with at least 4 years of Inventory Control experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze data and possess acute attention to detail.
  • Software: Knowledge of SAP and tier-1 WMS.
