\t* Perform ultrasound studies following ACR, State, Network, department, and manufacturer's recommendations and guidelines
\t* Select proper technical factors and patient positioning for the creation of diagnostic quality images
\t* Provide proper education for patients to include an explanation of exam and/or preparation requirements
\t* Maintain proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to schedule exams, process orders, initiate billing and distribute imaging results to providers
\t* Process images to PACS and review ultrasound findings with radiologists and OB/GYN providers
\t* Maintain proficiency in Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS to deliver images to radiologists and permanent archives
\t* Maintain a log of all patients imaged
\t* Maintain a clean and orderly exam room
\t* Prepare patient CDs and/or push images to other PACS systems
\t* Assist in the orientation, instruction, and training of new employees according to department procedures
\t* Maintain a steady and efficient patient workflow, regardless of the demand, and notify providers and nursing when the workflow is backed up
\t* Understand and adhere to departmental policies and procedures
\t* Notify the supervisor immediately of any equipment malfunctions
\t* Attend staff meetings and participate in committees/workgroups as requested
\t* Perform other duties as assigned

\t* College or university program certificate or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience
\t* Current ARDMS/RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN
\t* A minimum of one year of imaging experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
\t* Current on required continuing education credits
\t* Current BLS certification
\t* Proficiency with Microsoft applications and electronic medical records
\t* Knowledge of current ultrasound practices and standards of care
\t* Knowledge of related regulatory requirements
\t* Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, Network personnel, and outside entities
\t* Self-directed, detail-orientated, motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere
\t* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
