About the Role

This per diem position in our Recovery Center Unit offers a unique opportunity to work with patients and families affected by substance use disorder. As a Substance Use Disorder Professional, you will provide family counseling and treatment under the direction of the Program Manager, adhering to hospital-wide and department-specific policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, as well as family/employer orientation counseling
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, subject to approval by the Manager of Behavioral Health Services
  • Collaborate with referral sources and other treatment programs to ensure comprehensive care
  • Perform pre-authorization and ongoing utilization reviews with insurance companies
  • Conduct legal assessments, intake evaluations, and interventions as requested by management and the public
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or equivalent training and experience in the treatment of substance use disorder
  • Meet WAC requirements of a Substance Use Disorder Professional and be certified with the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid driver's license
