About the Internship

Responsibilities

As a Mining Engineer Intern, you will assist in coordinating mining, mechanical, civil, and other engineering projects. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing project scopes, generating cost estimates, and preparing project information packages
  • Evaluating current systems and processes to implement optimizations and improve efficiencies
  • Participating in project development, budgeting, engineering, purchasing, construction, cost control, quality control, and implementation
  • Developing engineering projects utilizing new technology to upgrade and improve safety efficiencies, cost controls, and environmental protection
  • Promoting and initiating positive employee relations to facilitate teamwork and job satisfaction
  • Participating in problem-solving efforts to improve safety, efficiencies, cost controls, and environmental protection
Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university majoring in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering field, or a recent college graduate with a degree in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering field. You should possess strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, be highly accurate and detail-oriented, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
