Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at KC CARE Health Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer medications, and perform vital signs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and test results
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program at an accredited college or university preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
