Outpatient Dietitian Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI.

Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will provide medical nutrition therapy and education to patients with various health conditions, including weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Train and mentor patient services staff and interns
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction programs
Requirements
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, in states where required
  • One (1) year of outpatient clinical experience, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems
