Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehoming and Relocation Specialist to join our team at the Atlanta Humane Society and Society. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in facilitating the placement of animals in loving homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review adoption applications from potential adopters and schedule adoptions for AHS foster animals
  • Manage foster-based adoptions database and dashboard to ensure efficient and effective adoption processes
  • Provide rehoming counseling to owners participating in AHS rehoming assistance program and assist customers with rehoming using AHS-approved technologies
  • Collaborate with other departments to accomplish departmental and organizational goals, and seek assistance from management staff as needed
  • Record transactions, reconcile monies for daily deposits, and handle agency funds according to protocol
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience in an office or retail business setting preferred
  • Computer literate in a Windows environment required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid GA driver's license or ability to obtain a valid GA driver's license, and must be insurable by Atlanta Humane Society's insurance company
